Very realistic plastic miniature ladder (PLA).

Kit of 5 heights: 5, 6, 8, 10 & 12 feet

Ideal for your models and your miniature scenes.

Characteristics
Surface preparation Our pieces can be treated without finishing but make sure to remove all traces of grease from handling. For a smoother finish, you can sand with a fine paper of 200 grains or more. Sand slowly. Polish with 600 and more. Sandblasting is possible with the appropriate paper. Always dust off before dyeing or painting.
WARNING: For adult use only. Not a toy. Small pieces can be swallowed and cause suffocation. The pieces are solid but can be crushed or broken by improper handling.
Do not expose to UV PLA can become crisp and fade. Watch out for sunlight through a window with glass that does not filter UV (ultraviolet rays).
Heat reistance
Do not expose to more than 120° Fahrenheit or 50° Celcius Beyond this temperature, the surface may be permanently marked and the block may deform under pressure (fingers or other)
Bonding
Can be glued with CA glue (cyanoacrylate) AC glue leaves more or less trace or whitish film. Apply as little as possible with small drops only to the useful places and ideally not visible. In general, the whitish traces can be removed by rubbing with the sticky part of a masking tape or else by making a surface preparation as for painting.
The visible glue does not dye so dye before gluing.
Suggestion: hold with a repositionnable museum wax (no glue) These waxes are specially designed so that the pieces are easily detachable. We can often replace the wax and reposition the box. These waxes wipe well and can be washed in warm (<50C or 120F) soapy water if the surface finish allows it.
Finish
Do not use aceton Acetone can alter the surface finish but does not smooth it because it does not dissolve the PLA deep enough.
Only PLA/Wood can be stained See the surface preparation for the desired finish. Stains like wood but with a little less absorption.
Paint
Acrylic paints generally adhere well See the surface preparation. If you think of handling them a lot when painted, a primer is recommended. See the section: To maximize adhesion ...
To maximize adhesion, use a PLA primer Make the desired surface finish (see above). A plastic model primer is generally adequate, but check its technical data sheet for compatibility with PLA (polylactic acid). Several YouTube videos are available for finishing and painting 3D objects.
